Certainly, Tiger Woods has made headlines with the revelations of his recent off the course behavior. I've decided to put down some of my thoughts relating to Tiger and his career. I started playing and watching golf in 1997, during the tail end of my senior year in High School. Living in Jacksonville, Florida, I was fortunate enough to be able to attend The Players Championship, an annual PGA Tour event boasting one of the strongest fields in golf. Tiger was a regular newcomer to the tour at this time, no doubt generating significant buzz. My first experience with Tiger was watching him hit an approach shot to one of the greens. Unfortunately, for Tiger, he was not pleased with his efforts and banged his club into a tree several times, while cursing loudly.
This left a very bad taste in my mouth. Early on, I viewed him as somewhat of a prick due to what I perceived as his lack of gentlemanly qualities. Over the years, as he rose to fame, I was not a supporter of his, though I certainly admired his ability to play the game. Eventually, his on course heroics trumped his on course behavior, though I never truly loved him, like so many others.
His recent exploits are not surprising to me, at all. Someone once said, "There's a fine line between genius and insanity." It's obvious to even a casual golf fan that he's a "genius" on the golf course. It's becoming clearer and clearer he's inept in certain social situations. I've always felt that when a person is very talented in one area, they severely lack in another. Tiger's again proved this theory true.
My goal in life has always been to be well rounded. I've never been really good at any one thing, but I've always achieved a certain level of accomplishment in my endeavors, whether in sports, academics or my professional life. I hope I can continue this trend as my life evolves and I truly hope Tiger is able to make amends with himself and his family.

Well said, Cliff. I agree totally. And, I do think you are "well-rounded", especially in the middle!
